The downside about this strongly stain resistant carpet is that it can easily be matted down. This makes your carpet looking overused. It can also get fairly dirty especially when it is around areas where oil is found. So, having this type of carpet near the kitchen area is not recommended.


When it comes to defying wear and tears, your go-to fiber is the nylon. In addition, it is impervious to stains and oils. But one of the main disadvantages of this material is that is it susceptible to red dyes. This means that when liquids like wine or cool aid gets in contact with it, there will be a problem. And using strong chemicals can make it worse as it tends to discolor the nature of its fiber.


This type of fiber is tough in material. When this is taken care of, it can last for up to 100 years. Surprisingly, this material is fire resistant which is perfect for many homes in dry environments.


This is perfect as an alternative to nylon due to its cost-efficient price. It is a great stain resistant material, but in comparison to nylon, it can start to get matted down fairly quickly.
